The Chapman's Peak Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 13 October 2019.
This is an amazing half marathon & 10km that is run along Chapmans Peak Drive & back to Hout Bay. Runners enjoy a run along the Atlantic Coast between Hout Bay & Noordhoek in the Cape Peninsula which is one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world.
Chapman's Peak Drive will be closed to all traffic from 06h00 - 10h00 for the race. We apologise for any inconvenience, please use Ou Kaapse Weg as an alternative route during this time and please come back later. Thank you for your understanding to support this wonderful local sporting event.
Course Details
Start at the bottom of Chapmans Peak Drive in Hout Bay and finish at Kronendal Primary School.
- 21.1km - 6:30am
- 10km - 7:10am
Runners are encouraged #RunGreen #RunClean. This is a plastic-free event, you are encouraged to bring your own water bottle to be refilled at water tables. Additionally, there will be paper cups available at the tables but must be drunk and disposed before leaving. Keep #Chappies Clean. #SayNoToPlastic
Runner Information:
- Start - at Velocity Sports Lab on the east side of the beach (Chapmans Peak side).
- Finish - at Kronendal Primary School (Andrews Road).
- Route - Participants must stay on the left hand side of the road at all times, unless instructed differently by the marshals and Traffic Officers.
- Distance Markers - will be placed at every kilometre. Please see the route map for more information.
