The Chapman's Peak Drive Day Pass Hours will change to 6 am from 1 October 2018 and finish at 8 pm. That means summer is coming because you can enjoy 2 1/2 hours more for free on #Chappies.
Members of the public can use Chapman's Peak Drive for free and is valid for use in all the designated picnic areas, viewing spots and mountain trails, BEFORE the Day Pass Control Point.
The Day Pass is valid during the following hours
Summer (Oct – Mar) - 06:00 - 20:00
Winter (Apr – Sep) - 07:00 - 18:30
Term's and Conditions
- Fixed Day Pass hours per season (don't be late when the sun is setting as full fees will be charged after closing time per season)
- Valid from Hout Bay Entrance only
- Valid for the first 2.7 km past the toll plaza building to Day Pass Control Unit (you will be advised where to park)
- Retain ticket for return journey (this is your proof of entry when you leave on the Hout Bay side. Return your day pass to the toll collector before the closing time)
